The Orthopaedic Clinic was established in 1987 to integrate private orthopaedic practice with teaching and research. The initial directors all had a primary focus on academic orthopaedic practice within the public hospital setting and wished to expand this level of academic practice to patients seeking private care in the community. Over the subsequent three decades this focus on quality academic practice has continued. The current directors all work in both the private and public sectors and integrate care with ongoing research that includes basic science, clinical and outcomes research. We firmly believe that this multifaceted approach allows us to offer the very best in orthopaedic care within the private sector.
